Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger reconciliation.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare and maintain financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow analyses.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes and financial audits.
- Process payroll for multiple clients with high attention to detail.
- Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks Online, Xero, or Sage) to input financial data and generate reports.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding financial status and billing inquiries.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- 3+ years of professional bookkeeping experience in a corporate or accounting firm setting.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to spot discrepancies and resolve them efficiently.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
