Responsibilities
- General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP standards.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, manage payments, and monitor accounts receivable to ensure timely collections.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Payroll Support: Assist in the payroll process, including tax filings and reporting.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial activities are compliant with federal, state, and local regulations.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA certification is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of professional bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage accounting software; strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to detect errors and resolve issues efficiently.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
