Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and up-to-date.
- Perform month-end and year-end close procedures, including reconciliation of bank statements and credit card accounts.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
- Assist in the preparation of tax documents and financial audits.
- Communicate complex financial data to clients and team members in a clear, professional manner.
- Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) to automate workflows and improve efficiency.
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3+ years of professional bookkeeping experience, preferably in a public accounting or corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software, specifically QuickBooks Online or Desktop.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and experience with cloud-based financial platforms.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines while maintaining high accuracy.
