Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts with meticulous attention to detail
- Process accounts payable/receivable and manage payroll cycles using QuickBooks Online
- Prepare month-end closing reports and financial statements for diverse industries
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and tax regulations for Kentucky-based clients
- Collaborate with tax professionals during quarterly reviews and annual audits
- Implement process improvements to enhance financial reporting efficiency
- Train junior staff on accounting software and financial best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
- 5+ years of full-cycle bookkeeping experience in a professional services environment
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel (Advanced functions)
- Proven experience with multi-state tax compliance and payroll processing
- Strong analytical skills with ability to identify discrepancies and trends
- Certified Bookkeeper (CB) or QuickBooks ProAdvisor designation a plus
- Exceptional communication skills for client-facing financial consultations
- Proficient with accounting software integrations (e.g., Bill.com, Expensify)
