Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping including AP/AR, payroll processing, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare monthly/quarterly financial statements and variance analysis
- Maintain QuickBooks Online with custom chart of accounts setup
- Oversee sales tax filings and compliance with CA tax regulations
- Support annual audits and prepare documentation for CPA review
- Implement financial controls to prevent discrepancies and fraud
- Train junior staff on bookkeeping best practices
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks Online
- Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance required (Bachelor's preferred)
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables) and accounting software
- Certified Bookkeeper (CB) or QuickBooks ProAdvisor designation a plus
- Strong understanding of GAAP and California tax requirements
- Proven track record of managing high-volume transactions
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
