Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Bookkeeper to join our dynamic finance team in Long Beach, CA. In this role, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and preparing monthly financial reports.
Our ideal candidate is proficient in QuickBooks and possesses a strong understanding of GAAP. You will work in a collaborative environment where accuracy and integrity are paramount.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts on a monthly basis.
- Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts and financial statements.
- Assist with payroll processing and tax form preparation.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations.
- Perform month-end and year-end close procedures.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online or Desktop.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Associate degree or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
