Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts: Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely and accurate transactions.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations to verify account balances and identify discrepancies.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including balance sheets and profit & loss statements.
- Payroll Processing: Assist in the processing and reconciliation of payroll, ensuring compliance with local and federal regulations.
- Compliance: Maintain accurate financial records in compliance with GAAP and internal company policies.
- Software Management: Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, etc.) to update and maintain financial data.
- Tax Preparation: Support the preparation of year-end tax documents and assist with audits as needed.
Qualifications
- Experience: 2-4 years of proven experience as a Bookkeeper or Accountant.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online or Xero, and strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Knowledge: Solid understanding of GAAP, general ledger accounting, and financial reporting standards.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to spot errors and rectify them quickly.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for liaising with clients and team members.
- License: Relevant certifications (CPA, CMA, or Enrolled Agent) are a plus.
