Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledgers, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll systems using QuickBooks Online
- Prepare monthly financial statements, balance sheets, and income statements with detailed variance analysis
- Manage bank reconciliations, credit card processing, and expense tracking for 15+ client portfolios
- Coordinate with tax preparers and auditors to ensure compliance with federal/state regulations
- Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce financial discrepancies
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing procedures with zero-tolerance for errors
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to clients during quarterly business reviews
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks Online certification
- Proven expertise in full-cycle accounting for SMBs in diverse industries
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, macros) and accounting software
- Deep understanding of GAAP, IRS tax codes, and Oregon state financial regulations
- Exceptional attention to detail with demonstrated ability to reconcile complex accounts
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- Strong analytical skills with ability to identify trends and anomalies in financial data
- Excellent communication skills for presenting financial reports to non-financial stakeholders
