Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile multi-entity general ledgers with precision
- Manage accounts payable/receivable cycles and vendor communications
- Prepare month-end financial statements and variance analyses
- Oversee payroll processing and tax compliance documentation
- Implement and optimize QuickBooks Online workflows
- Conduct internal audits and ensure SOX compliance
- Collaborate with CPAs during quarterly reviews and tax seasons
- Mentor junior bookkeepers on financial best practices
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience with multi-state entities
- Advanced QuickBooks Online certification required
- Proficiency in MS Excel with pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions
- Proven track record of month-end close within 5 business days
- Deep understanding of GAAP and IRS regulations
- Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance (Bachelor's preferred)
- Experience with construction/real estate accounting a major plus
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving aptitude
