Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and reconcile bank statements monthly
- Prepare financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) with detailed commentary
- Manage accounts payable/receivable cycles and optimize cash flow
- Process multi-state payroll and tax filings for diverse client portfolios
- Implement and improve accounting controls for audit readiness
- Collaborate with CPA firms during tax season and audits
- Train junior staff on accounting software best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years progressive bookkeeping experience in public accounting
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Enterprise and Excel
- Proven experience with multi-state tax compliance and payroll
- Expert knowledge of GAAP and IRS regulations
- Certified Bookkeeper (CB) designation required
- Exceptional problem-solving and client communication skills
