Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts with meticulous attention to detail
- Process accounts payable/receivable and manage cash flow operations
- Prepare monthly financial statements and variance analysis reports
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and IRS regulations for all transactions
- Oversee payroll processing and tax filings for 50+ employees
- Implement and optimize accounting software workflows (QuickBooks/NetSuite)
- Coordinate annual audits and support external financial reviews
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience with full-cycle accounting
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop/Online and Microsoft Excel (Advanced Functions)
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
- Proven experience with multi-entity accounting systems
- Strong knowledge of sales tax compliance in Texas
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize competing tasks
- Excellent analytical skills with high attention to numerical accuracy
- Experience with construction or service industry accounting a plus
