Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
- Perform bank reconciliations and credit card reconciliations on a monthly basis.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, including vendor billing and customer invoicing.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Reconcile bank statements and resolve any discrepancies or errors immediately.
- Assist with payroll processing and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Maintain and organize financial records, supporting audits as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in bookkeeping or a similar accounting role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to detect errors in financial data.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with team members and clients.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
