Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for 15-20 client portfolios using QuickBooks Online
- Prepare monthly financial statements and variance analysis for executive review
- Process multi-state payroll and sales tax compliance across 5 jurisdictions
- Reconcile complex bank accounts, credit cards, and intercompany transactions
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes with audit-ready documentation
- Implement process improvements using automation tools like Zapier
- Train junior staff on accounting best practices and software proficiency
Qualifications
- 5+ years of full-cycle bookkeeping experience with multi-state compliance
- Advanced QuickBooks Online certification required
- Expertise in payroll processing (ADP/Paychamp preferred)
- Proficiency in Excel with VLOOKUP, PivotTables, and complex formulas
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA candidates preferred)
- Experience with construction/real estate industry accounting a plus
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for 100% accuracy
- Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced client environment
