Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for 15-20 small business clients using QuickBooks Online
- Prepare monthly financial statements, balance sheets, and profit/loss reports
- Handle accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and payroll processing
- Assist with tax preparation documentation and quarterly filings
- Implement financial controls and process improvements for client efficiency
- Collaborate with CPAs on audit readiness and compliance matters
- Train junior bookkeepers on firm software and procedures
Qualifications
- 3+ years professional bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks Online
- Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance (Bachelor's preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables)
- Strong understanding of GAAP and California tax regulations
- Excellent communication skills for client interactions
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor certification a plus
- Experience with payroll systems (ADP/Paychek preferred)
