Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledgers and monthly financial statements
- Process accounts payable/receivable and bank reconciliations
- Prepare payroll and tax filings for multiple entities
- Manage client bookkeeping software (QuickBooks Online)
- Generate financial reports for business decision-making
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and IRS regulations
- Coordinate with auditors during annual reviews
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online/Xero
- Associate's degree in Accounting or related field
- CPA or certification preferred but not required
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Experience with multi-state payroll processing
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Proficient in Excel and financial reporting tools
