Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts with meticulous attention to detail
- Process monthly payroll for 50+ employees using Sage 50
- Prepare VAT returns and manage HMRC compliance
- Generate management accounts and financial reports for client review
- Manage accounts payable/receivable cycles with strict deadlines
- Conduct bank reconciliations and variance analysis
- Support external audit processes and documentation requests
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years' bookkeeping experience with UK GAAP knowledge
- Proven proficiency in Xero and QuickBooks software
- ATT/ACCA part-qualified or equivalent accounting qualification
- Exceptional attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Strong problem-solving skills for reconciling complex transactions
- Experience managing multi-currency transactions
- Ability to prioritise tasks in deadline-driven environments
