Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts with precision
- Process accounts payable/receivable and manage cash flow
- Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports
- Ensure VAT compliance and submission deadlines are met
- Manage payroll processing and employee expense reports
- Collaborate with auditors during financial reviews
- Implement and improve bookkeeping processes using Xero and QuickBooks
- Provide financial insights to support business decision-making
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on bookkeeping experience
- Proficiency in Xero, QuickBooks, and advanced Excel functions
- AAT or equivalent accounting qualification essential
- Strong understanding of UK GAAP and HMRC regulations
- Exceptional attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Proven ability to meet tight deadlines under pressure
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience with multi-currency transactions preferred
