Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and monthly financial statements
- Manage accounts payable/receivable processes with strict attention to detail
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports for Illinois-based clients
- Coordinate year-end audits and tax documentation preparation
- Implement internal controls to prevent financial discrepancies
- Utilize QuickBooks and Excel for data analysis and reporting
- Ensure compliance with Illinois state tax regulations and GAAP standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
- 5+ years of bookkeeping experience with Illinois businesses
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel
- Strong knowledge of Illinois sales tax filing requirements
- Proven experience with multi-state accounting operations
- Certified Bookkeeper (CB) designation a plus
- Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
