Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all invoices are processed accurately and on time.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly to identify discrepancies and resolve them promptly.
- Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring all financial data is up-to-date and organized.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review.
- Process payroll for employees, ensuring all tax withholdings and deductions are calculated correctly.
- Support the tax preparation process by gathering necessary documentation and working with external auditors.
- Assist in budget preparation and variance analysis as required by senior management.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of professional bookkeeping experience in a corporate or accounting firm setting.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks Online or Xero.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) is required.
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Certification as a Certified Bookkeeper (CB) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to detect errors in financial data.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
