Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for multiple clients, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger reconciliation.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Process payroll for clients and employees, ensuring tax filings and compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of annual tax returns and financial audits.
- Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) to maintain accurate digital records.
- Collaborate with clients to explain financial data and provide actionable insights.
Qualifications
- Associate degree or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2+ years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Xero, or similar accounting software.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Experience with payroll processing and tax compliance (1099s, W2s).
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
