Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for 15+ high-value clients using QuickBooks Online and Desktop
- Prepare monthly financial statements, balance sheets, and profit/loss analyses
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and bank reconciliations
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls for financial compliance
- Collaborate with CPA firms during tax season and audits
- Lead month-end closing processes with zero-tolerance error margins
- Mentor junior bookkeepers and optimize accounting workflows
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or 5+ years progressive bookkeeping experience
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks (QB Desktop/OB) and Excel with VBA knowledge
- CPA or CMA certification strongly preferred
- Proven experience with multi-state payroll and sales tax compliance
- Expertise in GAAP principles and financial reporting standards
- Exceptional attention to detail with 100% reconciliation accuracy
- Strong leadership skills with team management experience
