We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Bookkeeper to join our dynamic finance team in San Francisco. Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger reconciliation.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet) for management review.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card transactions, and intercompany accounts monthly to ensure accuracy.
- Process payroll and ensure all tax filings (federal, state, and local) are completed accurately and on time.
- Assist with annual audits and tax preparation by providing requested documentation and schedules.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent errors.
- Collaborate with external accountants and tax advisors as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent professional certification such as CPA or CMA).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of professional bookkeeping experience in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks Online, Xero, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and accounting workflows.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to spot discrepancies and resolve issues efficiently.
- Strong communication skills, capable of explaining complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
