Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely posting of financial transactions.
- Process and reconcile monthly bank statements, credit card statements, and general account reconciliations.
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including vendor management and client invoicing.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet) in compliance with GAAP standards.
- Assist with the preparation of quarterly and annual tax filings and tax provisions.
- Perform monthly payroll processing and maintain payroll records.
- Collaborate with team members to improve accounting processes and implement internal controls.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration, or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks Pro/Online, Xero, or Sage) and MS Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups).
- Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to detect errors and resolve discrepancies.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for client interactions.
