Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile complex general ledger accounts with meticulous attention to detail
- Manage accounts payable/receivable cycles and cash flow optimization
- Prepare monthly financial statements and variance analysis for executive review
- Oversee payroll processing and tax compliance across multiple entities
- Implement and improve internal financial controls and reporting systems
- Collaborate with CPAs during annual audits and tax season
- Lead month-end closing processes with zero-tolerance for errors
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance with 5+ years of progressive bookkeeping experience
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks Online and advanced Excel functions (VLOOKUP, PivotTables)
- Proven track record of managing multi-entity accounting systems
- Deep understanding of GAAP principles and North Carolina tax regulations
- Certified Bookkeeper (CB) or QuickBooks ProAdvisor designation preferred
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and analytical mindset
- Excellent written/verbal communication with stakeholders at all levels
