Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for diverse client portfolios including accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and bank reconciliations
- Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks Online and proprietary accounting systems
- Prepare monthly financial statements (P&L, balance sheets) with variance analysis for client review
- Coordinate with tax professionals to ensure compliance with federal/state regulations
- Implement internal controls to safeguard financial data and prevent discrepancies
- Support audits by providing organized documentation and financial records
- Train junior bookkeepers on best practices and software proficiency
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Accounting/Finance; Bachelor's degree strongly preferred
- 5+ years of full-cycle bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks Online
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables) and accounting software
- CPA or QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification highly desirable
- Proven experience with multi-state payroll processing and sales tax compliance
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to numerical precision
- Strong written/verbal communication for client reporting and team collaboration
