Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records.
- Process and review accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions in a timely manner.
- Prepare monthly financial statements, balance sheets, and profit and loss reports for management review.
- Perform bank reconciliations and manage cash flow forecasting.
- Assist with annual tax filings and audit preparations, working closely with external accountants.
- Maintain the company’s fixed asset register and handle payroll processing.
- Implement and improve internal financial processes to enhance efficiency and compliance.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related financial role.
- Proven proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) is required.
- Experience with US GAAP accounting principles and tax regulations.
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to detect errors and discrepancies.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
