Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledger systems and reconcile bank accounts for 15+ clients
- Process complex payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and month-end closing procedures
- Generate financial statements and tax documentation for agricultural and small business clients
- Implement QuickBooks cloud solutions and optimize accounting workflows
- Lead audits and ensure compliance with CA state tax regulations
- Train junior bookkeepers on proprietary financial software
Qualifications
- 5+ years of full-cycle bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification
- Expertise in agricultural accounting and CA sales tax compliance
- Advanced Excel skills with pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions
- Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance required (CPA preferred)
- Proven ability to manage 15+ client portfolios simultaneously
- Exceptional attention to detail with error rates below 0.5%
- Strong communication skills for client relationship management
