Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts with meticulous attention to detail
- Prepare month-end closing reports and financial statements for diverse client portfolios
- Manage accounts payable/receivable cycles and optimize cash flow operations
- Process payroll and ensure compliance with federal/state tax regulations
- Implement QuickBooks software solutions and customize financial reporting systems
- Conduct internal audits and identify process improvement opportunities
- Collaborate with CPAs and tax professionals during fiscal year-end procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
- 5+ years experience in full-cycle bookkeeping for SMBs
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel
- Expert knowledge of GAAP principles and Texas tax regulations
- Proven track record of reducing processing errors by 30%+
- Certified Bookkeeper (CB) designation strongly preferred
- Exceptional analytical skills with high accuracy standards
- Ability to manage 15+ client portfolios simultaneously
