Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and reconcile bank statements monthly
- Process accounts payable/receivable and manage payroll cycles
- Prepare financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet) for client review
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Implement and optimize accounting software workflows
- Collaborate with tax professionals for compliance reporting
- Train junior accounting staff on financial processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of bookkeeping experience in a professional services firm
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks and Xero platforms
- Certified Bookkeeper (CB) or QuickBooks ProAdvisor preferred
- Advanced Excel skills with pivot tables and VLOOKUPs
- Strong understanding of GAAP and California tax regulations
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
