Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile all general ledger accounts, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Process weekly payroll accurately and ensure timely tax filings.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and prepare monthly financial statements.
- Monitor cash flow and assist in budget preparation and variance analysis.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations.
- Manage and organize digital and physical financial records and documentation.
- Assist external auditors with requested documentation during year-end audits.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- Certified Bookkeeper (CBC) or equivalent professional certification is highly desired.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage software.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Deep understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical problem-solving skills.
