Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger accounts with monthly reconciliations
- Prepare and analyze financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
- Manage accounts payable/receivable cycles and process payroll for multiple clients
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, IRS regulations, and Illinois state tax requirements
- Implement and optimize accounting software systems (QuickBooks Online preferred)
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to clients during quarterly reviews
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or equivalent certification preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive bookkeeping experience with multi-client portfolios
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software
- Demonstrated expertise in month-end closing processes and financial reporting
- Strong understanding of Illinois sales tax regulations and payroll compliance
- Exceptional attention to detail with ability to manage complex financial data
