Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping operations including AP/AR, GL maintenance, and month-end closings
- Prepare and analyze financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) with executive-level insights
- Oversee payroll processing and ensure compliance with federal/state tax regulations
- Implement and optimize accounting software systems (QuickBooks Enterprise, Xero)
- Coordinate with external auditors and prepare documentation for annual reviews
- Develop financial models and forecasts to support strategic decision-making
- Maintain internal controls and ensure SOX compliance for portfolio companies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance with 5+ years of progressive bookkeeping experience
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks Enterprise and advanced Excel functions (VLOOKUP, PivotTables)
- CPA certification or equivalent accounting designation strongly preferred
- Proven track record in managing multi-company accounting for tech startups
- Deep knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and SOX compliance requirements
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to microscopic detail
- Experience implementing accounting systems and process improvements
