Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile multi-client accounting systems using QuickBooks Online and Xero
- Prepare monthly financial statements, balance sheets, and profit/loss reports
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable cycles and cash flow management
- Process payroll for 50+ employees with tax compliance oversight
- Conduct internal audits and ensure SOX/GAAP compliance
- Collaborate with CPAs during tax season and financial reviews
- Implement process improvements for financial operations
Qualifications
- 5+ years of full-cycle bookkeeping experience in public accounting
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
- Expert knowledge of GAAP, IRS regulations, and Michigan tax laws
- Proven experience managing multi-state payroll systems
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail (99.9% accuracy required)
- Excellent communication and client relationship management abilities
