Core Responsibilities
Your day-to-day will involve managing the full-cycle bookkeeping process, from daily transactions to month-end close.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily financial transactions, including accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR), ensuring all invoices are processed timely and accurately.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts on a monthly basis to identify discrepancies.
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial reports, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow analyses.
- Assist with the preparation of annual federal and state tax returns in coordination with external tax professionals.
- Process payroll for employees using [Software Name] and ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations.
- Maintain the general ledger and assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Perform monthly physical inventory counts as required and reconcile inventory variances.
Qualifications
- Proven experience (3-5+ years) as a Bookkeeper or Accountant in a professional services or corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, or Sage Intacct.
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and financial reporting standards.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros) is highly preferred.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
