Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile multi-company general ledgers with GAAP compliance
- Prepare month-end closing reports and financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet)
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable cycles with 99.5% accuracy target
- Manage sales tax filings across multiple jurisdictions
- Implement process improvements using QuickBooks Online and Excel automation
- Coordinate with external auditors during annual reviews
- Mentor junior accounting staff on financial controls
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
- 5+ years of full-cycle bookkeeping experience
- Advanced QuickBooks Online certification
- Expertise in Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, macros)
- Sales tax compliance experience across NC/SC/VA
- Proven track record in process optimization
- Strong analytical and communication skills
