Responsibilities
- Financial Management: Oversee daily bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure all transactions are recorded accurately and on time.
- Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations and credit card statements to identify and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Reporting: Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts, monthly financial statements, and variance analysis reports for management review.
- Closing Processes: Assist in the month-end and year-end closing procedures, ensuring all deadlines are met with precision.
- Payroll Support: Process payroll accurately and assist with payroll tax filings and reporting requirements.
- Software Proficiency: Utilize and optimize accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or NetSuite) to streamline financial workflows.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of professional bookkeeping experience in the US market.
- Software: Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (Advanced) and/or Xero; experience with NetSuite is a plus.
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (Bachelor's degree preferred).
- Skills: Strong understanding of GAAP, US tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.
- Attributes: Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client interaction and internal reporting.
