Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts on a monthly basis.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions with a high degree of accuracy.
- Prepare monthly financial statements, balance sheets, and profit & loss reports.
- Assist with payroll processing and tax preparation support for external clients.
- Maintain accurate general ledger records and ensure strict compliance with GAAP standards.
- Collaborate with external auditors and tax professionals during year-end reviews.
- Train junior staff or collaborate with external accountants as needed.
Qualifications
- 3-5+ years of professional bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Certification as a CPA, CMA, or Bookkeeper (CPB) is highly preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Xero, or Sage 50.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and Macros).
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
