Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for 15+ client accounts using QuickBooks Online
- Reconcile bank statements, credit cards, and balance sheet accounts monthly
- Prepare financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) with analytical insights
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and sales tax filings
- Implement financial controls and process improvements for operational efficiency
- Collaborate with CPAs during audits and provide year-end support
- Maintain organized digital filing systems and ensure compliance with GAAP
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks Online
- Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance (Bachelor's preferred)
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, macros)
- Proven experience with multi-state sales tax compliance
- Certified Bookkeeper (CB) or QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification a plus
- Exceptional attention to detail with zero-tolerance for errors
- Strong communication skills for client relationship management
- Ability to prioritize deadlines in a fast-paced consulting environment
