Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile multi-entity general ledger accounts with precision
- Process payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and month-end closing procedures
- Generate financial statements and variance analysis for executive review
- Implement internal controls and optimize accounting workflows
- Collaborate with tax professionals for quarterly/annual filings
- Train junior staff on QuickBooks Online and Xero platforms
- Support audits by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries
Qualifications
- 5+ years of full-cycle bookkeeping experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Xero, and Excel
- Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance (Bachelor's preferred)
- QuickBooks Online Certified ProAdvisor certification required
- Proven experience with multi-state payroll compliance
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail
- Strong communication abilities for client/stakeholder interactions
- Experience with nonprofit or construction accounting a plus
