Job Summary
The Bookkeeper will be responsible for managing the daily financial operations of the company, ensuring accuracy in bookkeeping tasks, and providing support to the finance department.
Responsibilities
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all invoices are processed accurately and on time.
- Perform bank reconciliations and credit card statements monthly.
- Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts and financial reports.
- Assist with payroll processing and tax compliance filings.
- Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for all financial documentation.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies.
- Support the accounting team during month-end and year-end close processes.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of professional experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Familiarity with GAAP principles and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet strict deadlines.
