Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping activities, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts on a monthly basis.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, balance sheets, and income statements.
- Process payroll for employees, ensuring accuracy and timely payments.
- Prepare and maintain general ledger files and supporting schedules.
- Assist with tax preparation filings and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Provide financial reporting and analysis to management as required.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment or on-site in Cleveland.
- Knowledge of GAAP and tax regulations is a plus.
