Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Perform monthly and annual bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare and maintain financial statements, balance sheets, and profit and loss reports.
- Assist the Finance Manager with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Process payroll and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Review and approve expense reports and vendor invoices.
- Maintain an organized filing system for both digital and physical documents.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a Bookkeeper or Accountant.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, or Sage 50.
- Strong working knowledge of US GAAP and tax regulations.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (Bachelor’s preferred).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
