Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping operations including accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare monthly financial statements and variance analyses for 15+ clients
- Oversee QuickBooks setup, maintenance, and optimization for seamless financial workflows
- Coordinate with auditors and tax professionals during quarterly/annual reviews
- Implement internal controls to ensure compliance with GAAP and industry regulations
- Lead month-end closing processes with zero-tolerance for discrepancies
- Train junior staff on accounting software best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
- 5+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience with multi-client portfolios
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel (Advanced functions)
- Proven track record of managing payroll for 50+ employees
- Strong understanding of sales tax regulations in California
- Ability to maintain 100% accuracy in high-volume transaction processing
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail down to the cent
- Experience with Xero and Sage 500 a plus
