Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts with 100% accuracy
- Oversee full-cycle accounts payable/receivable processes and cash flow management
- Prepare monthly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) with insightful commentary
- Lead month-end and year-end closing procedures including journal entries and accruals
- Implement and optimize accounting systems (QuickBooks Online, Xero) for efficiency
- Collaborate with CPAs on tax preparation and compliance documentation
- Train junior staff on financial protocols and best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with 5+ years of progressive bookkeeping experience
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables)
- Certified Bookkeeper (CB) or QuickBooks ProAdvisor designation strongly preferred
- Proven track record of managing multi-entity accounting systems
- Deep understanding of GAAP principles and sales tax compliance (CA BOE)
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to microscopic detail
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments while maintaining strict confidentiality
