Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for 15+ SMB clients using QuickBooks Online
- Prepare monthly financial statements and variance analysis reports
- Handle complex payroll processing and tax compliance (WA state)
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and accounts receivable/payable
- Support month-end closing with journal entries and adjustments
- Collaborate with CPAs during annual audits and tax season
- Implement process improvements for financial workflow efficiency
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional bookkeeping experience
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Excel
- Proven track record with multi-state payroll processing
- BS/BA in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and IRS regulations
- Experience with construction or tech industry accounting
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage deadlines in a deadline-driven environment
