Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for diverse client portfolios
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow reports
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and complex general ledger entries
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and payroll coordination
- Implement and maintain robust accounting systems and internal controls
- Collaborate with CFOs on financial forecasting and tax preparation support
- Train junior staff on accounting software best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of professional bookkeeping with multi-client exposure
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Excel/Google Sheets
- Certified Bookkeeper (CB) or QuickBooks ProAdvisor preferred
- Deep understanding of GAAP principles and Michigan tax regulations
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with high transaction volumes
- Proven ability to meet strict deadlines while maintaining accuracy
- Excellent communication skills for client interactions
