Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile complex general ledger accounts with 100% accuracy
- Prepare month-end and year-end financial statements including balance sheets and P&L reports
- Manage accounts payable/receivable cycles and vendor communications
- Oversee payroll processing and tax compliance for 50+ employees
- Implement internal controls to prevent financial discrepancies
- Collaborate with CPA firms during audit preparation
- Train staff on accounting software best practices
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks Online
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
- Advanced proficiency in Excel with pivot tables and VLOOKUPs
- Proven track record of multi-state compliance management
- Experience with construction or real estate accounting highly valued
- Certified Bookkeeper (CB) designation preferred
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills
