Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for 15-20 high-value client portfolios using QuickBooks Online and Xero
- Prepare month-end closing reports including balance sheets, P&L statements, and cash flow analyses
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and bank reconciliations
- Collaborate with CPAs on tax preparation, audits, and financial strategy
- Implement internal controls and process improvements to ensure compliance
- Train junior bookkeepers on accounting software and best practices
- Present financial insights to clients during quarterly business reviews
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent work experience (5+ years)
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, and Microsoft Excel (VBA preferred)
- Certified Bookkeeper (CB) or QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification required
- Demonstrated experience with multi-entity accounting systems
- Expertise in sales tax compliance across multiple states
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail (0% error tolerance)
- Proven ability to manage high-volume financial transactions
- Excellent communication skills for client-facing interactions
