Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for 15-20 high-value clients across various industries
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, balance sheets, and income reports
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and bank reconciliations
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and tax regulations while optimizing financial workflows
- Implement and maintain robust accounting systems using QuickBooks Online and Xero
- Collaborate with tax professionals during quarterly and annual audits
- Provide strategic financial insights to guide client business decisions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive bookkeeping experience with high-volume client portfolios
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, and Excel (including VLOOKUP/PivotTables)
- Deep knowledge of GAAP, payroll regulations, and sales/use tax compliance
- Proven track record of managing month-end closing processes efficiently
- Exceptional attention to detail with ability to reconcile complex accounts
- Strong communication skills for presenting financial insights to non-financial stakeholders
