Responsibilities
- Manage month-end closing processes for 15+ diverse business clients
- Prepare and analyze financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable cycles and bank reconciliations
- Implement QuickBooks and Xero integrations for efficiency
- Ensure compliance with Illinois sales tax requirements
- Lead quarterly financial reviews with business owners
- Train junior bookkeepers on accounting best practices
Qualifications
- 5+ years of full-cycle bookkeeping experience
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks Online/Xero
- CPA or QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification preferred
- Deep knowledge of Illinois tax regulations
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance
- Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, PivotTables)
- Experience with multi-client accounting systems
- Proven track record of process improvement
